Greetings, dear friends
Hero weapons have been modified to be useful and not abusable for endgame situations.
With the High Five update, Hero Weapons were modified to have the base P.Atk / M.Atk stats similar to Elegia ~ +8 to +10 (more or less, it depends on the weapon type). They also added 250 Holy element, unchangeable. And on top of that they also get a 20% PvP Damage passive. They conserved the original C4 unique Special Abilities.
Hero Weapons
We have changed Hero Weapons to have the exact same stats as +20 Elegia weapons (our x5000 server’s maximum enchant - but with retail stats for other servers), and you can element them normally (so, for example, you can go 300 Wind on Infinity Rod for your Storm Screamer).
Before our changes, not all players were using them, and for those who did there were some tradeoffs, such as only 250 Holy element, less P.Atk and M.Atk than +20 Elegia, etc. It was not an obvious upgrade, you had to think about it. We want Hero Weapons to be the best weapons in the game. If you are Hero, you should be playing with a Hero weapon.
Please note that the +20% PvP Damage from Hero Weapons is a 0% difference in the endgame vs Elegia, as {PvP} modification gives a 10% Bonus, all Special Abilities give a 5% bonus, and the augment from PvP Might passive gives 5% as well.
The Hero Weapons real advantage is the unique stats they get from their unique Special Abilities, and we’ve modified some of them to achieve a great PvP balance!
Hero Weapons: Unique Special Abilities
We have done many changes in order to balance the weapons for PvP and to create an enjoyable experience. Each weapon has been uniquely modified to fit its purpose and be powerful without being overpowered or annoying. What follows are the changes we’ve done to Hero weapons, whatever is not mentioned here, is retail.

The reason we’ve decided to remove all Debuff Reflect stats from Hero Weapons is because we believe it adds a lot of noise to the game - it’s a very bad feeling when lots of players reflect debuffs passively and you are trying to do Mass PvP.
We also believe having spammable triggers is not good for the game (100% chance to be casted on critical hit), even more so with effects that can not be resisted (Cancellation, for example). The same thing can be said about some of the debuff durations, which are extremely long and easy to land.
We hope you like our work on the PvP experience of the game. We love it and hope that once you play, you will love it too!
Thank you for reading!
